Let's go to... with Playmobil

Hoy hemos usado los Playmobil para representar un diálogo. Cada niño ha recibido un "keko" y se han juntado por parejas a ver qué salía con personajes tan dispares.

THE ROCK STAR AND THE NUN

- Let's go to the concert!

- No, I don't want to.

- Why?

- Because it's very noisy. 

Let's go to the beach!

- No, I don't want to.

- Why?

- Because I don't know how to swim. 

Let's go to the church then!

Yes, great idea! I love praying. 

THE CHAV GIRL AND THE POSH GIRL

- Let's go to Bershka!

- No, I don't want to.

- Why?

- Because the clothes are cheap and tacky.

- Let's go to the swimming pool!

- No, I don't want to. 

- Why?

- Because I don't want to get my hair wet.

- Let's go and have a drink then!

Yes, great idea!

Ahora buscad parejas de Playmos en casa e intentad hacer lo mismo. 

My Daddy is a Giant

Para celebrar el Día del Padre hemos leído el libro MY DADDY IS A GIANT de Carl Norac e Ingrid Godon.

A través de este video podéis conocer la historia y aprender nuevo vocabulario y expresiones. Lo cierto es que el tipo que lee el cuento es un poco extravagante pero es que no he encontrado nada mejor :-)

Not Very Well / Pedro's Cough

Un par de capítulos de Peppa Pig  con los que vamos a trabajar en los próximos días y en los que se trata el tema "estar malito", así que podemos oír muchas de las cosas que hemos aprendido en la última unidad. Sí, ya sé que Peppa Pig es para peques, pero lo importante es escuchar el inglés que se habla. 

PEDRO'S COUGH

It is a school day. Peppa and her friends are having a music lesson.

- Uuuh, Miss Polly had a dolly... 

- Cough, cough! Sorry, Madame Gazelle. 

Oh dear! Pedro has a cough

- Not to worry, I'll ring doctor Brown Bear

- Doctor Brown Bear speaking

- Hello doctor. This is Madame Gazelle. A child is ill

- Don't panic, I'll come straight away

- What seems to be the problem?

- I've got a cough

- I see, is it a tickly cough or a chesty cough? 

- I don't know but it goes like this: cough!

- Um,  and when did you get this cough?

- When Madame Gazelle started singing

- It's nothing serious but Pedro's cough may be catching.

- What do you mean "catching"?

- When one person has a cough sometimes other people get that cough too

- Do I need medicine?

- Just a little spoonful. I'm afraid it doesn't taste very nice.
