Pumkin family - I can / I can't

Life in a castle

CASTLES

In the past, a castle was a home. It was also a fortress to protect people from their enemies. The castle walls were very thick. The windows were very small. The towers were very high in order to see enemies outside the castle walls.

Round the castle was a deep moat. The moat was full of water. The only way to cross the moat was on the narrow drawbridge. The only way to enter the castle was through the wooden gate. The gate was very big and heavy. Under the castle was a dungeon. The dungeon was very dark. The dungeon was a prison for enemies and traitors.

LIFE IN A CASTLE

Life in a castle was hard.
The castle was cold and damp. It was only warm next to the fire in each room.
The castle was dark. It was only light next to the small windows.
The castle was smelly. The food was sometimes bad. It was also difficult for people to wash and keep clean.
The castle was noisy. There were people and animals everywhere.
But life in a castle was also fun. There were acrobats, jugglers and musicians. There were also feasts, tournaments and games.

Where was...
the moat?
the drawbridge?
the gate?
the dungeon?

Where were...
the castle walls?
the towers?
the windows?

1. Was the castle cold?
2. Was the castle warm?
3. Was the castle damp?
4. Was the castle light?
5. Was the castle dark?
6. Was the castle smelly?
7. Was the castle quiet?
8. Was the castle noisy?

Las respuestas pueden ser:

YES, IT WAS.
NO, IT WASN'T.

Let's go to... with Playmobil

THE ROCK STAR AND THE NUN

- Let's go to the concert!
- No, I don't want to.
- Why?
- Because it's very noisy.

Let's go to the beach!
- No, I don't want to.
- Why?
- Because I don't know how to swim.

Let's go to the church then!
Yes, great idea! I love praying.

THE CHAV GIRL AND THE POSH GIRL

- Let's go to Bershka!
- No, I don't want to.
- Why?
- Because the clothes are cheap and tacky.

- Let's go to the swimming pool!
- No, I don't want to.
- Why?
- Because I don't want to get my hair wet.

- Let's go and have a drink then!
Yes, great idea!

My Daddy is a Giant

Not Very Well / Pedro's Cough

PEDRO'S COUGH

It is a school day. Peppa and her friends are having a music lesson.

- Uuuh, Miss Polly had a dolly...

- Cough, cough! Sorry, Madame Gazelle.

Oh dear! Pedro has a cough

- Not to worry, I'll ring doctor Brown Bear

- Doctor Brown Bear speaking

- Hello doctor. This is Madame Gazelle. A child is ill

- Don't panic, I'll come straight away

- What seems to be the problem?

- I've got a cough

- I see, is it a tickly cough or a chesty cough?

- I don't know but it goes like this: cough!

- Um,  and when did you get this cough?

- When Madame Gazelle started singing

- It's nothing serious but Pedro's cough may be catching.

- What do you mean "catching"?

- When one person has a cough sometimes other people get that cough too

- Do I need medicine?

- Just a little spoonful. I'm afraid it doesn't taste very nice.

Go Away Big Green Monster!

"ee" - sleep
"ea" - team
"e_e" - compete

Ohh! I thought today would never end
What a day for little me
At last I can rest my head
Forget all my worries and set my mind free
Take easy and climb into bed

I've got, he's got

You've got
We've got
They've got

Y para He, She, It

He's got
She's got
It's got

Estos dos videos serán de ayuda:

I’ve got a robot, a robot, a robot
I’ve got a robot in my house (2)
He’s got fingers, he’s got toes
He’s got eyes and a mouth and a nose
I’ve got a robot, a robot, a robot
I’ve got a robot in my house (2)
He can wash and sweep and clean
To me he’s a person, not a machine
I’ve got a robot, a robot, a robot
I’ve got a robot in my house (2)
He can cook and mend and saw
He does my homework
My teacher doesn’t know
I’ve got a robot, a robot, a robot
I’ve got a robot in my house (4)

Reading Bear

TRANSPORT

We all use transport, for example, to go to school, to go to work, to go shopping, to go to the cinema, to visit friends or to go on holiday.

There are many different forms of transport: bikes, motorbikes, cars, buses, trams and planes. Some forms of transport use petrol or diesel and cause pollution. Other forms of transport are clean and "green".

We need to look after the environment. It is a good idea to share car journeys and to use public transport when you can.

Children in Britain - Places

Asking for and giving directions

It' a Shame
